Adjusting the Magnetic Focus
1 Adjusting the green magnetic focus, AQP/DQP and AHP/DHP
After adjusting the lens focus and scheimpflug, adjust the magnetic focus,
AQP (Axis Quadrupole)/DQP (Diagonal Quadrupole) and AHP (Axis
Hexapole)/DHP (Diagonal Hexapole).
What is the AQP/DQP adjustment?

Correct the vertical or horizontal
distortion of the spot.
What is the AHP/DHP adjustment?

Correct the triangular-form distortion of the spot.

Press the CUT OFF R and B keys to display the green signal only.

Press the MG FOCUS key.
The DOT pattern (9 × 9) appears on the screen, and a square for
adjusting focus is displayed on the center of the screen. The adjustment
mode, adjustment position No., and adjustment items overlap with the
DOT pattern.

Adjust the focus at the center (position No.1) of the screen.
Press the v or V key to select the item (by moving [ ] to the item), and
press the B or b key to adjust the data.
1 Press the B or b key to set ALL to +40 so that flare appears on the
screen.
2 Press the v or V key to select 2PH, then press the B or b key so that
the core of a spot is located at the horizontal center of the flare.
3 Select 2PV, then adjust so that the core of a spot is located at the
vertical center of the flare.
