spindle, the tapered mandrel and the
taper bore of the drill chuck and push
them firmly together.
The drill chuck does not have to
be additionally secured. It is held
in place adequately by the taper
attachment, provided the tapers
have been degreased and correct-
ly joined.
7) Fit the protective disk by first screwing
the holder into the housing and then
tightening the lock nut.
8) Mount the protective disk and fix it in
place with the tommy screw.
9) Unscrew (19) and remove cover (1)
(using an allen key, size 6).

10) Release and remove belt.
11) Plug the connector (36) in the machine
head into the socket on the upper drill-
ing column.
12) Re-fit belt, close hood and screw dow.
Please note: Machine will not start
unless protective hood is closed.

13) Turn machine on side and insert sup-
ply cable on underside in appliance in-
let (34).
14) Feed the power cable through the
openings provided on the side re-
quired, ensuring the cable is protected
by the rubber plugs.

For safety, the machine should be bolt-
ed on to the workbench.

Plug the power plug into a grounded
wall socket outlet. The machine is now
ready to run.

Always wear goggles when work-
ing with the machine, to protect
your eyes from flying parts.
Wear a hair net or cap to prevent
your hair from being caught by ro-
tating parts.
SWITCHING ON AND OFF

• Release the emergency-stop switch (3)
by turning the red control element clock-
wise (approx. 1/4 turn)
• Switch on the machine by pressing the
green On switch (4).
• Switch off the machine by pressing the
red Off switch (5).
• In an emergency the machine can be
stopped immediately by pressing the
emergency-stop switch (3).
In an emergency press the emer-
gency-stop switch. The machine
must only be run with the top cover
closed.
SPEED SELECTION
It is crucial that the machine is shut
down before opening the belt hous-
ing.
The speed can be set to 6 different speed
