settings by turning over the V-belt:
• Remove protective cover (A 1).
• Release clamping for securing the mo-
tor (B 22) on the right.
• Set belt to the desired setting.
• Tension belt by pushing the lever for
the motor adjustment (A 18) backwards.
The belt must be tensioned so that it can
be pushed in by maximum 0.5 cm when
light pressure is applied.
SPEED INDICATOR

For guidance the speed step selected can
be read off the speed indicator (2). The
speed step selected is indicated by the
relevant LED.
USE OF QUICK-RELEASE CHUCK
• To open chuck, hold by top retaining ring
and turn chuck clockwise.
• To close or secure tool, hold chuck by
top retaining ring and turn chuck anti-
clockwise to close.
Only hand-tighten chuck - do
not use tools (e.g. pliers) or the
chuck might become damaged.
REMOVING THE DRILL CHUCK
The drill chuck is driven out of the drilling
spindle using the supplied ejector wedge.
To do so, move the drilling spindle down
until the ejector slot in the side of the spin-
dle is visible. Insert the ejector wedge into

the slot and strike it with a hammer to drive
out the drill chuck.
The chuck and tapered arbor can be de-
tached using a release fork (not included
in scope of supply).

• To switch on integrated work lamp (28)
press light switch (29).
• To switch off integrated work lamp (28)
press light switch (29) again.
DRILLING DEPTH INDICATOR

A scale (37) indicating the drilling depth
is shown on the axis of the advance knob
(20). The advance can be read from it in
millimeters.
DRILLING DEPTH STOP

• With the machine switched off, move
the drill bit lightly on to the surface of the
workpiece.
• Slacken the drilling depth stop (A 17) by
turning the stop handle forward (clock-
wise).
• Set the desired drilling depth on the drill-
ing depth stop scale.
• Re-fix the drilling depth stop by turning
the stop handle backward (anti-clock-
wise).
• The work spindle can now only be ad-
vanced as far as the stop limit of the pre-
set drilling depth.
