Connect appliance
Note: The control unit must be mounted indoors in an
easy-to-reach location.

Fit the plug onto the mains cable. Secure the blue
wire in connection N, the brown wire in connection
L, and the green/yellow wire in the central
connection. Fit the connector parts. Tighten two
screws for the strain relief.

Firmly insert the mains cable and control cable from
the remote fan unit into the control unit.

Firmly insert the network cable from the control unit
to the extractor hood. The plug must snap into
place.
Note: The X1 and X2 connection sockets are
identical.

Connect the control unit to the mains and check
that it works correctly. If the appliance does not
work, check that the connection cable is positioned
correctly.
Additional switching output
Work must only be carried out on the additional
switching output by a qualified electrician in
accordance with the country-specific requirements and
standards.
The appliance has an additional switching output X16
(potential-free contact) that can be used to connect
other appliances, such as a ventilation system that is
available at the installation site. The contact is closed
when the fan is switched on, and is opened when the
fan is switched off.
The switching output is located under a cover. Maximum
switching power 30 V/1 A (AC/DC). The signal that is
connected to the contact must correspond to class of
protection 3.
