11.1. Stopping work for a short period
In the event of stopping work for a Iength of time which
does not involve any danger of the product catalysing or
hardening Inside the equipment or its accessories, leave
the product suction probo (no.1, figure 1) inside the paint
container (if a gravity tank is being used, it is not necessary
to empty this) and perforen the depressurisation
(Section13)
Remove the cap and dip it in cleaning solvent.
11.2. Stopping when work is finished
Once the application using the equipment is completed, it
is necessary to empty alI the remaining product from the
equipment and all accessories (hose, gun, suction probe or
gravity tank, drain) before proceeding to clean these.
1.- Engáge the gun safety catch.
2.- Remove the cap and clean separately.
3.- Turn the pressure regulator (no.5, figure 1) to the
minimum setting (anticlockwise).
12. PETROL MOTOR START-UP AND SHUT-DOWN
12.1. Petrol motor start-up
ATTENTION:
It is necessary to read and undertand the instructions
manual for the motor in question.
Before starting up a petrol motor, the following points
must be checked.
1 - Check the oil level in the housing of the petrol motor.
2 - Check the oil level in the reducer – clutch housing of the
petrol motor.
3 - Check the fuel level in the motor fuel tank.
4 - Check that the motor accelerator is at the minimum
setting (idling).
5 - Check that the start-up switch is set to "off".
6 - Check the choke. This must be open.
7 - The fuel valve must be closed.
Once these initial checks have been made to the motor it-
self, start-up may commence observing the following
points:
Before starting up the motor the pumping equipment
and accessories (hose and gun) must depressurised
and the drain valve (no. 4 figure 1) must be open.
1 - Open the fuel valve.
11. FINISHING A JOB
4.- Place the gun in the product container and press the
trigger to collect the product. Keep pressing the spray gun
trigger and remove the suction probe from the product
container, leaving it exposed to the air.
5.- Turn the pressure regulator again (no. 5, figure 1)
clockwise. Product will start to run from the head of the
gun, stopping after a few seconds. At that moment the
hose and the product-containing area of the gun are empty
of product.
Note: if the equipment is fitted with a gravity tank instead of
an suction probe (no.1, figure 1), empty the contents of the
tank through the gun, from the original container containing
the product from the start.
6.- Turn the pressure regulator (no.5, figure 1) to the
minimum setting (anticlockwise).
7.- Open the drain stopcock (no.4, figure 1) keeping a
container at hand in which to collect the product.
8.- Disconnect the motor switch turning it to the setting
"off".
2 - Set the accelerator lever to the minimum setting.
3 - Use the air choke lever in accordance with the tempera-
ture of the motor and of the environment.
4 - Move the accelerator lever slightly to the left.
5 - Turn the motor switch to the setting "on".
6 - Pull the start-up handle until a certain resistance is felt.
At this point, pull with force.
7 - As soon as the motor is running, move the choke handle
gradually towards the setting "open" as the motor tempera-
ture rises.
8 - Set the accelerator lever to the maximum setting (1600
r.p.m.).
12.2. Petrol motor shut-down
Once the equipment is de pressurised (the depressurisa-
tion Section13) and completely clean, the petrol motor can
be stopped following the steps given below:
1 - Set the accelerator to the minimum (idling) setting by
moving the lever to the right.
2 - Turn the motor switch to the setting "off".
3 - Close the fuel valve.
- 22 -
