PREPARATION
1)
When operating the Diamond Selector II, use a 9 volt battery of type 006P, UC 522 or D 1604. The lid of the battery compartment "6"
can be easily slid off if you push it in the direction of the arrow. Connect the battery in accordance with the + & - mark on the battery.
Insert the battery into the Battery Compartment, connections facing outwards and close.

Turn on the Power Switch "3".

Make sure that the Battery Lamp "4" lights up. Note: In case the Battery Lamp does not light up or becomes dim; replace the battery with
a new one.

Wait for about 30 seconds till the Ready Lamp "5" lights up. Note: The Ready Lamp automatically lights up as soon as the Probe "1"
reaches the working temperature.
5)
The Power Switch/Level Meter Volume "3" functions as calibrator to adjust the Level Meter "2". Turning it in the direction of ON, lights
up the level meter in the order of green, yellow and red.
ADJUSTMENT OF LEVEL METER "2"
With the Level Meter Volume "3", adjust the Level Meter "2" in accordance with the size of the stone under test and the surrounding
temperature.
To calibrate, refer to the following Calibration Chart and adjust the Level meter to the size of the stone to obtain and accurate reading.

- Página 2 . The thermal conductivity of the metal is very high and can give the same indication as a Diamond with most Thermal Probes. The Diamond Selector II has a Metal Alert buzzer to warn you when the Probe tip touches metal. If you hear the Metal Alert buzzing sound, test again touching only the tested stone with the tip.
- Página 3 In case of stones set in metal (rings, pendants, bracelets, watches, etc.) hold the metal part of the stone with your bare hand. In case of loose stones, place the stone on the Testing Platform “9”, then hold the Diamond Selector II in one hand and the Platform with your other hand.

Evitare di usare il Diamond Selector II vicino a fonti di calore potenti o accanto a dispositivi di refrigerazione, in quanto le prove possono essere alterate.

Página 12: Observaciones
Toda comprobación debe efectuarse “con manos desnudas”. Guantes o cualquier otra materia que se interponga entre la piel y el aparato puede disminuir el valor de la comprobación. Sujetar el Diamond Selector II de forma que los dedos toquen sobre el panel conductor de electricidad “7” en la parte posterior del aparato.
