Before you begin

Before you begin, we recommend you uninstall any other Network Interface Cards (NICs) you
have in your system. Refer to your old NIC's documentation for removal instructions.
Write the serial number of the U.S. Robotics 10/100/1000 Mbps PCI NIC in the space below. The
serial number is located on the NIC and on the NIC's box.
NOTE: It is very important that you have your serial number written down for future reference. If
you ever need to call our Technical Support department, you will need this number to receive
assistance.
NOTE: Touch an unpainted metal area of your computer's case to ground yourself. This will protect
your equipment from electrostatic discharge.

Installation Procedure

Step 1:
(All Users)
10/100/1000 Mbps PCI NIC
Make sure that your computer is shut down.
Turn off your computer and all peripheral
devices. Unplug your computer. Remove the
cover from your computer. Unscrew and
remove the expansion slot cover from an
available PCI slot. Insert the U. S. Robotics
10/100/1000 Mbps PCI NIC completely into
the PCI slot. Secure the NIC with the slot
screw. After you have secured the NIC,
replace the cover and turn your computer on.
