How do I install for new construction?
Route Supply Wires
STEP 2
Route supply wire from circuit breaker to wall thermostat to wall
can. For models with built-in thermostat, route supply wire from
circuit breaker to wall can. Remove a knockout and attach the
supply wire with a strain relief connector leaving enough wire
lead to reach ground screw on the same side of the wall can as
the knockout that you are using. Connect supply ground wire to
grounding screw in wall can (See Figure 3).

How do I insert the heater assembly into the wall can?
Install Heater Assembly
STEP 1
Connect the supply wires to the heater wires with
wire connectors. Push wires into wiring junction box.
IMPORTANT: On 120 volt heaters, the white heater
wire must connect to the white supply wire.
Install the junction box cover so that the wire
connections are located between the cover and
wall can, using the screws provided (see Figure
5). Install the junction box cover on the same side
of the wall can as your supply knockout and wire
connections.
Place heater assembly inside wall can and secure
with screws.
Install Grill
STEP 2
Secure grill with the screws provided. If you have
a built-in thermostat model, slide thermostat knob
onto shaft. Turn power on at the electrical panel
board.
Important: Before turning on power, be sure the
thermostat knob is turned counter clockwise to the
lowest setting.

Part One
How do I install in an existing wall?
STEP 3
Insert wall can into opening. Keeping front of wall can flush with
wall, secure to wall stud with screws through the four larger (3/16
inch) holes. Connect supply ground wire to grounding screw in
wall can (See Figure 3).
