Assembly
Fitting the battery (fig. C)
Remove the battery cover (14) from the tool.
x
Insert the batteries into the tool in the orientation as shown.
x
Refit the cover and let it click into place.
x
Wall mounting (fig. B & D)
The tool can be mounted to walls using one of the wall
mounts (12 or 13).
Wall pin
If the tool is mounted to drywall or other soft materials, the
wall pin (12) must be used. The position of the laser line will
line up with the mounting location of the pin.
Remove the protective cap (15) from the pin (16) and store
x
it on the insert as shown (fig. D).
Hold the wall pin at the required height in front of a
x
suitable location and press the pin straight into the wall.
Install the tool by hanging the holder (4) on the wall mount.
x
Warning! The pin of the insert is sharp and should be
handled with care. Replace the protective cap immediately
after removing the insert from the wall.
Keyhole wall mount
For surfaces other than drywall, the keyhole wall mount (13)
can be used with a screw in a predrilled hole. The position of
the laser line will line up with the mounting location of the screw.
Hang the wall mount on a screw mounted at the required
x
height on a suitable location.
Install the tool by hanging the holder (4) on the wall
x
mount.
Use
Using the laser level function (fig. E & F)
Using the laser in auto-leveling mode
Hang the tool on the wall using the appropriate wall mount.
x
Push the on/off switch (1) up to switch the tool on in auto-
x
leveling mode.
The auto levelling indicator (17) will light up and swing while
the tool is calibrating.
Note: the laser lines will only be level if the tool is kept within
5° from vertical.
Push the on/off switch (1) down to switch the tool off.

Using the laser in locked/layout mode
When operating in the locked/layout mode, the tool can be
held in horizontal position, for surface layout such as flooring
and tiling.
Place the tool flat on the floor.
x
Push the on/off switch (1) down to switch the tool on in
x
locked/layout mode. The locked/layout indicator (18) will
light up.
Move the tool as necessary to position the laser lines.
x
Push the on/off switch (1) up to switch the tool off.
x
Using the measurer function

To switch the tool on, press key (7).

To switch the tool off, press key (7) again.
x
Setting the reference point (fig. A, E & G)
The reference point is the part of the tool that the measurement
starts from and ends at. The reference point can be aligned
with the left (19), the right (20) or the centre (21) of the tool.
For accurate results, the reference point can be set before and
after the measurement.
To set the reference point, press either of keys (8).

Selecting the measurement system (fig. A & E)
The appliance can show the results both in the metric (22) and
the imperial system (23).
To switch from one measurement system to the other,
x
press and hold key (7) for 4 seconds.
Measuring (fig. A & E)
Place the tool flat against the wall at the start of the
x
distance to be measured. Switch the tool on.
Press and hold key (11) for 4 seconds. The ready-for-use
x
indicator (24) will light up.
Set the reference point indicating the start of the
x
measurement.
Slowly slide the tool along the distance to be measured.
x
Make sure not to tilt or lift the tool.
Set the reference point indicating the end of the
x
measurement.
To reset the tool, press and hold key (11) for 4 seconds.
x
Wait for the ready-for-use indicator (24) to light up before
continuing.
Note: After 2 minutes of inactivity the LCD screen will go blank.
