8. Indicator lamp
In Olli 100, 300 and 600 the indicator lamp is on all the time when the energizer is connected to power source and
shuts down during the pulse approximately 45...55 time per minute depending on the model.
In Olli 950 the indicator lamp blinks at the time of the pulse approximately 35..45 times per minute. In these two
models the indicator lamp also informs user about fence voltage by blinking in different ways.
- If fence voltage is at least 2500V the indicator lamp blinks once during the pulse.
- If fence voltage drops below 2500V the indicator lamp blinks twice during the pulse.
- If fence voltage is so low that fence is not working properly anymore and you need to check the condition of the
fence immediately, the indicator lamp blinks three times during the pulse.
If the indicator lamp does not work or it blinks in a different way than mentioned above the energiser is defective and
should be sent to service.
9. Information display of the Olli 1000 fence energizer
The LCD display shows the symbols of three fence connectors:
Output voltage (refers to the connector with a red button)
Return voltage from the fence (refers to the connector with a green button)
Earth return (refers to the connector with a blue button)
The Energizer measures the maximum voltage of the pulse on each connector. The voltage is expressed in kilovolts
(1 kilovolt = 1000 volts). The voltage of the output and return is also displayed graphically as a column. A fully dark
column indicates full power; an empty column indicates low voltage.
There are also face symbols that indicate the overall quality of the fence as follows:
☺
Fence and return voltage exceeds 4,5 kV (1 kV = 1000 volts)
Earth return voltage 0–0,2 kV
Fence and return voltage 2–4,4 kV
Earth return voltage 0,3–0,4 kV
Fence and return voltage is lower than 2 kV
Earth return voltage exceeds 0,4 kV
A sour face blinks to draw the user's attention.
The display also indicates the amount of charged energy. The energizer adjusts its charged energy according to the
fence conditions. The charged energy varies depending on the model between 6 and 20 joules. The energy is
increased when the load from the fence increases.
An increased energy level indicates problems or changes in the fence.
A lightning symbol flashes on the display when the pulse is triggered, about once every second.
In cold weather the display updates may be sluggish. This is normal and does not affect the operation of the
energizer in any way.
10. The testing features of the Olli 1000 fence energizer
Following these instructions you can measure the actual voltage in the fence ("return voltage") and monitor the
quality of earthing.
You do not need to connect the testing functions for the fencer to operate properly. If no fence cable is connected to
the green return voltage connector
measurement of the return voltage or the related alarms. Consequently, the return voltage will not be shown on the
display.
before the power is switched on, the energizer will not activate the
