USING, REGISTERING, TESTING AND MAINTENANCE:
Using: A smoke detector is in operation when the batteries are installed. Make sure the red tab is turned in. This is held in place by the 2x AA
batteries. Only when the batteries are installed will the unit be able to be placed on the ceiling plate. When one of the detectors enters the smoke or
smoke, the alarm will sound. If the smoke or walm disappears, the alarm will automatically stop. To connect to the SMART-BRIDGE10 and TUYA
app, you must first log on the device. As soon as a smoke detector goes off, it will also send a signal to the app, which will indicate whether a
programmed scenario has started.
Connecting:
To connect to the SMART-BRIDGE10 and TUYA APP, refer to the registration manual
Time-out function:
This function will disable the alarm for approximately 10 minutes. This function can be activated by pressing the button once. The indicator light will
light up ± every 8 seconds to indicate that the sound has been temporarily muted. After 10 minutes, the alarm will be reactivated.
Test: The alarm is very loud (>85dB). We recommend using hearing protection when testing the smoke detectors. By pressing the test button on the
SMART-SMOKE10 the alarm can be tested.
Press the test button for at least 2 seconds. Operation is correct for 2 or 3 signal tones. Then the alarm is still working correctly.
The App will now receive a notification.
If a detector's test does not work, check the battery. If it does not work with a new battery, replace the appropriate Smoke Alarm.
The test function does not work if the time-out function is enabled. Check the detectors every week. In alarm status, the smoke detectors generate at
least 85dB(A) of sound pressure. Do not test the smoke detectors with candles, open flames, cigarettes, or the like.
ATTENTION:
If there are questions about the cause of an ALARM, assume that the alarm is caused by a fire and immediately evacuate the home.
Keep smoke detectors out of the reach of children.
During construction and renovation work, protect the smoke detectors from dust. Without protection, the smoke detectors lose their functionality.
Maintenance: The smoke detector is maintenance-free. In very dusty rooms they may be cleaned by vacuum.
Plan an escape route:
•
Make a map and mark all locations of doors and windows and a possible escape route. Note that you may need an escape ladder on high floors.
•
Ensure everyone in the house knows the sound the smoke alarms produce and regularly practice use of the escape route.
•
Leave the house immediately according to the plan when hearing the alarm. Every second counts: so respond quickly. If you do not notice smoke or heat,
check if everyone in the house is in a secure location.
•
Do not open any doors without feeling wether the door is warm or if there is smoke coming from underneath the doors. If it is, do not open that
door. If the door is cold, put your shoulder firmly against the door and open it a small amount to check for any heat or smoke first.
If there is much smoke, keep low and take shallow breaths, preferably through a moist towel. Call the fire department as soon as you are safe
outside.
Replacing the batteries: The detectors are supplied using 2x AA batteries. Only use the recommended types:
-
Energizer E91
-
Gold Peak Group GP15A
-
Raymax LR6
Under normal conditions the battery will last at least one year. If it is about to need replacement, the smoke detector will make a chirping sound every
40 seconds for at least 30 days. Pay attention to the polarity when replacing batteries. Test the detector after every battery replacement. If the
smoke detector does not function, please contact your supplier.
Environment: Do not throw away used batteries, but recycle them using your local chemical depot.
Product may not be thrown out as normal waste, but must be recycled as electrical waste.
