Causa
Boost pressure signal indicates bo-
ost pressure is high when other en-
gine parameters (i.e., speed and
load) indicate boost pressure should
be low.
Supply voltage to the ECM fell below
6.0 VDC for a fraction of a second ...
OR ... the ECM was not allowed to
power down correctly (retain battery
voltage for 30 seconds after key OFF).
Voltage detected at ECM power su-
pply pins 38, 39, and 40 of the engine
harness indicates ECM supply vol-
tage fell below 6 VDC.
Voltage detected at ECM power su-
pply pins 38, 39, and 40 of the engine
harness indicates the ECM supply
voltage is above the maximum sys-
tem voltage level.
Low voltage detected at throttle po-
sition sensor +5 VDC supply pin 29
of the OEM harness.
Low voltage detected at OEM har-
ness sensor +5 VDC supply pin 10
of the OEM harness.
Intake manifold air temperature sig-
nal indicates intake manifold air tem-
perature is above the minimum
engine protection threshold.
Auxiliary device speed signal on pins
8 and 18 of the OEM harness is out
of range of the ECM threshold.
High voltage detected at the coolant
level +5 VDC sensor supply voltage
pin 49 of the engine harness.
Low voltage detected at the coolant
level +5 VDC sensor supply voltage
pin 49 of the engine harness.
A mechanically stuck fuel control val-
ve has been detected by the VP44
fuel pump controller.
Error detected on the High Speed Go-
vernor Droop selection switch input
pin 24 of the engine harness.
Efectos
Possible overfueling during accelera-
tion. Increase in black smoke.
Possible no noticeable performance
effects OR engine dying OR hard starting.
Fault information, trip information, and
maintenance monitor data may be in-
accurate.
Engine will die or run rough.
None on performance.
Engine idles when idle validation switch
indicates idle and ramps up to a default
set speed when idle validation switch in-
dicates off-idle.
Sensors connected to this +5 VDC supply
(i.e., remote throttle position sensor) will
not function.
Power derate and possible engine
shutdown if engine protection shutdown
feature is enabled.
Lose ability to control the speed of the
auxiliary device.
No engine protection for coolant level.
No engine protection for coolant level.
Engine may shut down.
Operator can not select alternate HSG
Droop. Normal droop is used.
