ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR LASERS
Warning! The laser beam potentially causes severe eye damage. Never look or stare directly into the laser
beam.
During use, do not point the laser beam at people, directly or indirectly through reflecting surfaces.
This laser complies with class 2 according to EN 60825-1/A11, 1996. The unit includes no servicing
components. Do not open the housing for any reason. If the unit is damaged, have the damage repaired
by an authorized repair agent.

OPERATING INSTRUCTION

Changing the blade
(Fig.1) (Fig.2)
Switch off the tool and unplug the power cord. Disconnect the sole and lower it to its lowest position. Lock
the blade with the spanner supplied. Undo the locking screw and the washer. Take off the blade. Install the
new blade by following these instructions in the reverse order.
Setting the cutting depth
(Fig.4)
Switch off the tool and unplug the power cord. Undo the depth adjustment screw. Adjust the sole to the
desired sawing depth and tighten the screw.
Setting the sawing angle
(Fig.5)
Switch off the tool and unplug the power cord. The sawing angle can be set between 0°and 45°. Undo the
two screws holding the sole. Turn the sole to the required angle. Tighten the screws to lock the sole.
Parallel fence
The parallel fence is used to saw parallel with the edge of the workplace. Switch off the tool and unplug
the power cord. Place the fence in the grooves at the front edge if the sole. Set the desired sawing width
and tighten the screws to lock the parallel fence.
Laser line indication
(Fig.6)
Laser line indication is used to make it easier to saw along the desired line.
IMPORTANT: Do not lock into the laser beam – risk of eye injury.
CLEANING AND MAINTANCE
Always pull out the mains power plug before starting any cleaning work.
Cleaning
• Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the
equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
• We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
• Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or

solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the
device.
Carbon brushes
In case of excessive sparking, have the carbon brushes checked only by a qualified electrician.
Important! The carbon brushes should not be replaced by anyone but a qualified electrician.
Maintenance
There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.

ENVIRONMENT

Do not dispose of electric tools, accessories and packaging together with household waste material
- in observance of European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste of electric and electronic equipment and its
implementation in accordance with national law, electric tools that have reached the end of their life must
be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.
