Comments:
a) No water should leak out, even without an installed Bestmax Water Optimisa-
tion System and with an open mains supply!! If necessary, check installation!!
b) The filter head must not be under mains water pressure for a long time without
a filter cartridge screwed on.
6.2 Fitting the water+more by BWT Aquameter (Option)
Read the Aquameter Operating Instructions
Fit the Aquameter directly on the filter head, observe the direction of flow
Fit the water outlet hose to the Aquameter outlet
Check installation for leaks
Fit the Aquameter display in the sight line
Program the Aquameter according to the Instruction Manual and start it up
6.3 Bestmax Filter Cartridge Installation
Installing a New Filter
A. Determining the Carbonate Hardness
The local carbonate hardness must be determined with the help of the water+more
by BWT Hot Drinks Test Kit (see Accessories) before installation of the filter. The in-
structions must be observed precisely for this. Alternatively, the local water supply
company can also provide information on the typical local carbonate hardness.
6.1 Fitting the Wall-Mounting/Fitting the
Filter Head
Take the filter head with wall-mounting out of
the packaging and check that it is undam-
aged
Remove the wall-mounting from the fil-
ter head and fit at an appropriate place with
screws Ø 5 mm (not included in the deliv-
ery scope)
If an „installation plate" is enclosed, mark the
date (month/year) of initial installation and
stick on the filter head
Fit filter head to wall-mounting. (see Fig. 1 & 2)
Observe the direction of flow!!
Fit the water intake and water outlet hose to
the filter head.
Connect water outlet hose to the equipment
(e.g. coffee machine)
Shut off mains supply (water intake)
Connect water intake hose to mains supply
Open mains supply and check system for
leaks
