Voltage check
Hold the voltage checker only by the hand grips provided
for this purpose and never hold it beyond the limits of
the grips.
Check the function before starting the test by connecting
the two test tips together. An audible tone is emitted and
indicator 5 lights up. If this is not the case, please repla-
ce the batteries.
Guide the two test tips to the measuring points to be
checked.
Measuring Points Any voltage that is present will be dis-
played in the indicator field.
The LED display 5 lights up according to the voltage that
is present. The indicators 9 display the type of voltage
and the corresponding polarity. If the '+' and '-' indica-
tors light up simultaneously, then the voltage is AC.
For technical reasons, the instrument cannot display DC
voltages in the approx. range 0 – 8 V.
Single-pole phase check
The single-pole phase check is only possible with func-
tioning batteries inserted.
The 'single-pole' phase signal can be negatively
influenced by unfavourable ambient conditions
(electrostatic fields, good insulation etc.). You
should carry out an additional two-pole voltage
check in each case. It is imperative that the regu-
lations for work on electrical systems be observed.
Touch the measuring point to be tested with the test tip
L2. If an AC voltage of 100 V or more is present here, then
indicator 4 lights up and an audible tone is emitted.
