PLAYING MP3/WMA

Listening to Recorded MP3/WMA (Windows Media Audio) CD/CD-R/CD-RW
There are many music distribution sites on the internet from which music files in MP3/WMA
(Windows Media Audio) audio compression format can be downloaded. Music downloaded as
instructed on the site and written onto a CD-R/RW disc can be played on the RCD-M33.

About the folder playing order
If files in MP3 and/or WMA format are stored in multiple folders, the folder numbers are set
automatically when the disc is loaded. When the FOLDER +/ – buttons are pressed, the folders
switch according to the numbers set at this time. Folders not including any playback files are
skipped, and the next folder is selected.
Example :
How the folder numbers are set for a disc containing MP3/WMA files in the folder structure
shown below
q The ROOT folder is set as Folder1.
w For the folders in the ROOT folder (FolderA and FolderB), the folder that comes first in
the sequence information* stored on the disc is set as Folder2.
e For the folders in the FolderA (FolderC and FolderD), the folder that comes first in the
sequence information* stored on the disc is set as Folder3.
r FolderC does not contain any other folders, so FolderD is set as Folder4.
t FolderE in FolderD is set as Folder5.
y FolderB in the ROOT folder is set as Folder6.
*The folder and file sequence information stored on the disc depends on the writing
application used. For this reason the actual playback order may not be as expected.
The folder mode can be turned on (folder mode) and off (disc mode) using the FOLDER
MODE button. The files that are played differ according to whether the folder or disc mode is
set.
When the disc mode is set:
All the files in all the folders after the selected folder and file are played.
When File3 in FolderC is selected, all the files after File3 are played.
When the folder mode is set:
All the files in the selected folder are played.
When FolderD is selected, File4, File5 and File6 are played. FolderE inside FolderD is treated
as a different folder, so File7 and File8 are not played.
