PREPARATION
Connect the WaveXpert to the PC with the supplied Thunderbolt™ 3 cable.
Plug the supplied USB stick to a free USB port (USB-3.0 or USB-3.1) on the PC.
Remove all other flash memories from the PC / laptop.
START PROCESS
Start the Live Linux operating system from the supplied USB flash memory.
To do so, you may have to make some settings in the BIOS beforehand:
• "Secure boot" should be disabled. (This can sometimes prevent Windows from
starting up during the deactivation time.)
• "Thunderbolt Security Level" should be set to "No Security".
• Booting from USB stick must be selected in BIOS legacy mode (not UEFI).
• While the PC is starting up, press Esc, F8, F10, or F12 repeatedly to enter the boot
menu. Which button has to be pressed for the boot menu depends on the PC/BIOS
and can be found in the manual of the respective PC / laptop.

A GRUB start menu is then displayed (boot manager).
