or batteries with different capacities. Pay attention
to the polarity (+/–) when replacing the batteries.
❐ Take the batteries out of the device when they are
discharged or if the device is not going to be used
for a prolonged period. This will help to avoid
damage caused by leaking batteries.
❐ Should a battery have leaked, do not allow your
skin, eyes and mucous membranes to come into
contact with the battery acid. After contact with
battery acid, wash the areas affected immediately
with copious amounts of clean water and obtain
immediate medical attention.
❐ Remove a leaking battery from the device imme-
diately. Clean the contacts before inserting a new
battery.
❐ The batteries must not be recharged or reacti-
vated by other means, must not be dismantled,
thrown into a fi re, immersed in fl uids or short-
circuited.
Device-specifi c Safety Precautions
❐ Do not use the device when bathing or showering.
❐ Ensure that the device cannot fall into water.
❐ The device should not be used only when it is
damaged. If the device has a fault, do not attempt
to repair it yourself. In cases of damage, please
contact the customer service department (see the
chapter "Customer Service").
❐ Do not drop the device or subject it to severe
impacts.
❐ Do not expose the device to extreme tempera-
tures, strong temperature fl uctuations, direct
sunlight or moisture.
