4. Removing & Replacing Components
De-Soldering Components
1.
Select the proper nozzle, secure it to the handle.
2.
Plug power cable into electric socket and switch on the power button.
3.
Set the desired temperature. Adjust the airflow to desired volume.
4.
Move the nozzle close to the component leads; maintain 3-5 mm distance. Use
the hot air to melt the solder.
5.
When solder is molten, use a tweezer or other suitable tool to remove the
component from the circuit board.
Soldering Components
1.
Choose the proper nozzle, secure it to the handle.
2.
Apply the right amount of solder to the circuit board; position the component on
the circuit board.
3.
Plug power cable into electric socket and switch on the power button.
4.
Set the desired temperature. Adjust the airflow to desired volume.
5.
Move the nozzle close to the component leads, blow hot air onto the leads and
melt the solder.
