When filling it, hold the kettle upright . This is the only way to read the
markings on the scale 2 correctly .
3) Fill the jug at least as far as the MIN 0 .7 l mark, so that the appliance does
not overheat, and no more than the MAX mark to ensure that no boiling
water can spill out .
4) First close the lid 1 and then place the kettle on the base 4 in such a manner
that it sits securely on the base 4 .
5) Now insert the plug into the mains power socket .
6) Push the ON/OFF switch 3 downwards so that it engages . The ON/OFF
switch 3 lights up .

For safety reasons, you should never remove the lid 1 when the water is
boiling or is very hot . There is a risk of scalding .
7) As soon as the water is boiling, the appliance will switch itself off, the
ON/OFF switch 3 clicks upwards and the light goes out .

This appliance is fitted with an overheating protector: if the appliance is
switched on accidentally, without any water in the kettle, the appliance
automatically switches itself off .
If, for example due to a non-closed lid 1 the appliance boils dry, the
appliance switches off automatically .
In such cases first allow the appliance to cool down before using it again .
