AC/DC VOLTAGE TEST MODE
WARNING:
Observe all safety precautions when working on live voltages.
1. Press and hold the POWER button to turn the
voltage tester on. The LCD display will turn on.
The voltage tester will automatically enter the
be displayed in the lower left corner of the LCD
display.
2. Insert the black test lead into the COM input
jack and the red test lead into the V (Voltage) input
jack.
3. For DC measurements, touch the red test probe
to the positive side of the circuit and the black test
probe to the negative side of the circuit.
4. The tester will automatically detect whether it is
measuring AC voltage or DC voltage.
5. When measuring DC voltage, the DC voltage
symbol will be displayed and either the "+"
polarity symbol will be displayed or the "-" polarity
symbol will be displayed. The above image shows
the positive "+" polarity symbol displayed. The
"-" symbol means that the DC polarity is reversed.
6. Read the voltage from the LCD display.
