Touching current carrying cables can lead to death or severe injuries.
• Disconnect the power plug before carrying out any work on the unit.

• Condensate may form in the quartz glass tube. This condensate cannot be avoided, how-
ever, it does not impair function and safety.
• The quartz glass tube can become scratched or blind over time. In this case, sufficient
cleaning performance of the UVC lamp is no longer guaranteed. The quartz glass tube
must be replaced.
Prerequisite:
• The unit head is removed. (→ Removing/fitting the unit head)
How to proceed:
N
1. Using a screwdriver, loosen the safety screw securing the union nut on the quartz glass.
2. Unscrew the union nut by turning it counter-clockwise and carefully remove the quartz glass using a
slight twisting movement.
– Heavy impacts can damage the quartz glass or the UVC lamp underneath.
3. Carefully remove the lamp protection from the UVC lamp, then remove the shielding plate from the
base and finally pull the UVC lamp out of the base. Replace with a new UVC lamp.
– Only use UVC lamps that correspond with the device's technical data. (→ Technical data)
– After replacing the lamp, reinstall the shielding plate and the lamp protection at their respective
positions.
4. Carefully slide the quartz glass with the union nut and the O-ring onto the UVC lamp.
– Ensure that the O-ring is located between the union nut and the thread on the UVC clarifier, in
order that the quartz glass closes watertight.
5. Tighten the union nut in the clockwise direction as tightly as possible. Then tighten the safety screw
on the union nut.
