• If an extension cord is used:
- it must have an earth connection;
- take all necessary precautions to prevent anyone tripping over
an extension cord.
• If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
• On first use, there may be a slight odour and a little smoke
during the first few minutes.
• This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an
external timer or separate remote-control system.
• To preserve the non-stick properties of the coating, avoid
excessive pre-heating with the appliance empty.

• Do not move the appliance when in use.
• The orange light will blink regularly while the appliance is in use
to indicate that the temperature is being maintained.
• To prevent damage to the plates, only use them on the appli-
ance for which they were designed (e.g., do not place in an
oven, on the gas ring or electric hot-plate, etc.).
• Do not use aluminium foil or other objects between the plates
and the food being cooked of the Classic version.
• Do not remove the grease collection tray while cooking. If the
grease collection tray becomes full when cooking : let the
appliance cool down before emptying.
• Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
• Never run the appliance empty.

• The plates should never be handled hot. Leave to cool for at
least 2 hours in the position used for cooking.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water. Never immerse the
appliance or power supply cord in water.
• Do not place the hot plates under water or on a fragile surface.
• Do not carry the appliance by the handle or metallic wires.
