6.2 Engine oil change

WARNING:
 Used engine oil may cause skin cancer if repeatedly left in contact with the skin
for prolonged periods. Although this is unlikely unless you handle used oil on
daily basis, it still advisable to wash thoroughly your hands with soap and water
as soon as possible after handling used oil.
 Drain the oil while the engine is warm to assure complete and quick draining.
g) Remove the drain plug and sealing washer, oil filler cap and drain the oil.
h) Reinstall the drain plug and sealing washer. Tighten the plug securely.
Refill with the recommended oil and check the oil level.

6.3 Air cleaner service.
k) Unsnap the air cleaner cover clips, remove the air cleaner cover and remove the element
of foam.
l) Wash the element in solution of household detergent and warm clean water, then rinse
throroughly; Allow the element to dry thoroughly.
m) Soak the element in clean engine oil (sewing machine oil or SAE 5) and squeeze out the
excess oil.
n) Reinstall the air cleaner filter element in its support.
o) Reinstall the air filter and the cover.

6.4 Fuel filter cleaning

Invert the position of the filter and drain the gasoline in opposite direction up to the point that the
filter get completely clean. If there is still some dirt stuck, then replace the filter by a new one.
Be careful to reinstall it in the correct direction.
WARNING:
Avoid keeping petroleum derivatives (gasoline, oils, etc.) in contact with the skin. It is
dangerous for the health. Use gloves to prevent direct contact.

6.13 Spark plug service:


CAUTION:
Never use any spark plug of improper heat range.
WARNING
:
If the engine has been running, the muffler and other
components will be very hot. Be careful not to touch
them. Before operating again, protect yourself
carefully or wait until the engine will be cold.

An optimal condition of the spark plug is very important for
the correct performance of the engine. For this :
m) Remove the spark plug with the supplied wrench.
Make sure that the heat range is the recommended one and the spark plug is clean.
