5. To edit the values in a row click on the box you
would like to change, enter the new value and then
press enter on the keyboard.
6. o add a new row type your desired whip parameters
(Whip Length, Lead Length, Tail Length and #of
Whips) for the first whip into the blue header box
and then click the ADD button to add those whip
parameters to the table.
7. When you are finished adding rows and making
changes to the Whip Processing File click the Save
File button to save the file. By default it will save as
the file you opened. If you would like to save your
edits as a new file, change the text in the File Name
text box and then click Save File.
8. When you are finished using the software click
the MAIN MENU button and then click the EXIT
button. You can also simply hit the X in the top right
corner of the window. Be sure all work is saved
before exiting.
Create Cable Material File:
1. To create a cable material file click the button
Create Cable Material File.
2. Enter a file name in the top left text box to save your
new Cable Material File under.
3. Select a file location to save your Cable Material
File to. Click the Directory button to open a dialog
window that will allow you to choose where you
would like to save the Cable Material File. This
should be a removable USB Drive so that the files
can be easily transferred to the C3.
4. Type your desired Cable parameters (Manufacturer,
Conductor Construction, Size/Count, Armor
Type and Notch Depth) for the first Cable type into
the blue header box and then click the green ADD
button to add those cable parameters to the table.
Note: For FMC cable, the cable type box must end with
"FMC". This will notch the cable at the end of the whip.

Note: All boxes must have a value filled in for each
column. If any box is left blank then the invalid cells
will be highlighted red in the table.

5. If you are unsure about what value to enter into
the Notch Depth column see the section titled:
Cable Reference Guide for a list of recommended
settings for various cable sizes and types.
6. Continue entering Cable parameters and clicking
the add button for each Cable type you would like
to create as a part of that file.
7. If you make an error when entering the values you
can simply click the box with the error and correct
its value in the table and then press enter.
8. To delete an entire row click the row number and
then click the DELETE ROW button to remove that
entire row.
9. When you are finished adding rows and making
changes to the Cable Material File click the Save
File button to save the file to the destination folder
you specified in step 3.
10. When you are finished using the software click
the MAIN MENU button and then click the EXIT
button. You can also simply hit the X in the top right
corner of the window. Be sure all work is saved
before exiting.
Editing an existing Cable Material File:
1. From the main menu click the Create Cable
Material File.
