5.- MEASUREMENTS
1. Press the power button. The LCD screen will display the predetermined range
(40-90 dB). The LCD screen will also display the current sound level.
2. If the screen displays the words UNDER or OVER, this indicates that the
sound level is below or above the 40-90 dB range, thus making the measurement
invalid. You need to adjust the measurement range to the correct position.
3. Adjust the range. Press ▼ ▲ in order to select the desired range. When the
LCD screen displays UNDER, this indicates that the range is high and you will
need to press LEVEL▼. When the LCD screen displays OVER, this indicates
that the range is low and you will need to press LEVEL▲.
4. When you are going to make a measurement of general noise,
you can select option A (A/C button). If you wish to measure sound
levels with acoustic material, select C. The LCD screen will display
the selected option.
5. When you wish to obtain a real-time sound measurement,
select FAST by pressing the FAST/SLOW button. In order to obtain
average sound measurement, select SLOW.
6. When you need to obtain the maximum sound value, press the
MAX button. The LCD screen will display MAX.
7. If you need to make measurements at night,
press the
button and the LCD screen's
backlight will illuminate.
