This appliance can be used by
children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack
of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and under-
stand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall
not be made by children without
supervision.
Only use the soldering/cutting tool for the purpose
specified in the operating instructions, i.e. for soldering
and desoldering, and as a hot knife for materials such as
polystyrene and PVC.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage resulting
from misuse of the product or unauthorized alterations.

Risk of burns!
Do not touch the hot soldering tips and keep them
away from inflammable objects.
After the soldering process, the soldering tool and the
workpiece holder are still hot.
Risk of burns may occur when solder is molden!
Keep explosive and flammable objects well away from
the device.
Only replace solder tips when cold
Wear appropriate protective clothing to protect yourself
against burns. Protect your eyes by wearing eye
protection.
Do not use the soldering tool in a damp or wet environ-
ment.
Never work on voltage-carrying parts.

Avoid unintentional operation. Disconnect the soldering
tool from the power supply while not in use.
The power cable must only be plugged into the power
socket or adapter approved for this purpose. Check that
the power supply voltage is compatible with the
connected load of the soldering iron.
Before use check machine, cable, and plug for any
damages or material fatigue.
For product service, contact the corresponding Customer
Service location found in this manual.
If the electrical tool's power supply cord is damaged, it
must be replaced with a specially prefabricated power
supply cord available through the customer service
organisation.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If
it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not
modify the plug in any way.
Trouble Shooting
If tool fails to heat, remove and clean connecting ends of
the tip, replace and tighten thoroughly.After cleaning and
re-tightening, depress the trigger and allow to heat for 15
sec.'s. Release the trigger and retighten again
Maintenance and repair
Before servicing the product, disconnect from the
electrical power source.
Follow the instructions on soldering tip replacement.
Use original replacement parts only. Always have your
soldering tool repaired by a qualified electrician. For

Warranty
Weller supplies this device with a warranty valid for seven
(7) years from the date of purchase. The warranty relates
to material and manufacturing defects and covers both
replacement parts and labor. The warranty shall be void if
damage is due to improper use and if the device has been
tampered with by unauthorized persons.
The foregoing warranty shall not apply replacing tips and
replacing accessories
The devices are UL and cUL listed, and comply with all
the relevant safety regulations in North America.
Disposal
Do not dispose of electric tools together with
household waste material! Dispose electronic
equipment in accordance with national laws.
