Depending on the machine model, different data such as dis-
tance, rim width or rim diameter can be detected as follows:
BM 25, 35 Approach the first compensation weight position
with the internal scanning arm and hold the position
for approx. 2 seconds until the acoustic signal con-
firms the data transfer.
With this, the machine has determined the distance
to the first weight and the rim diameter at the same
time. Approach this second position with the scan-
ning arm and wait for the acoustic signal when
internally glueing the second compensation weight.
If the second weight is to be mounted at the outside,
the field must be selected via the F2 key and the rim
width must be entered via the keys F4 = Plus and F5
= Minus.
BM 45, 55 These machines are additionally equipped with an
external scanning arm.
Approach the corresponding position with the scan-
ning arm in order to glue on external weights or in
order to mount impact weights to the external rim
side, e.g. for steel rims. After approx. 2 seconds, an
acoustic signal is output, which confirms the taking
over of the determined data.
When the wheel data detection is finished, the measured or the
input values are displayed in the corresponding fields on the
monitor and, in addition to that, on the status strip.
The „Measuring" monitor is called via the „Start" or the „Esc" keys.

Balancing programs
In accordance with the wheel to be balanced, a corresponding
balancing program must be selected apart from the wheel data.
Call via the start monitor F5 (balancing).
Functional key assignment
F1 Static balancing:
Program call „Static balancing"
F2 Programs for steel and aluminium rims:
Call of various weight placing programs for standard
steel and aluminium rims.
F3 PAX rims:
Call of various PAX programs.
In addition to that, the program changes over auto-
matically to the mm mode for the wheel data display.
With F4 and F5, it is possible to switch over between
the individual weight positions.
F6 Memory:
Change-over to the memory range in order to save
the current program and wheel data.
The function symbol of the selected program is shown in light
grey.
The individually selected weight positions are shown in red on the
monitor.
The selected program is displayed simultaneously in the status
line on the left-hand monitor corner with a corresponding symbol.
