I. HOW TO OPERATE THE APPLIANCE
By pressing the ON button I (d1), water is automatically sent
into the heating tank, after which the heating and disinfecting
cycle begins (12 minutes). At the end of the cycle, an acoustic
signal (5 beeps) from the appliance indicates that the cycle has
finished.
If, at the end of every cycle, the appliance is not switched off by
pressing the 0 button (d2), it automatically repeats a new disin-
fecting cycle every 5 hours (duration of disinfection if the lid is
not removed), until there is no water left in the tank.
WARNING!
If you do to wish that the appliance automatically carries out
further cycles, switch it off, pressing the OFF button 0 (d2).
II. HOW TO USE THE CHICCO STERILISER
a. Always place the appliance out of reach of children, on a flat,
stable surfaces that is not sensitive to heat and/or humidity,
close to a mains socket that is easily accessible (diag. 1).
b. Remove the transparent lid (diag. 2).
c. Remove the water tank from its housing. Loosen and remove
the stopper located in the lower part of the tank; fill the tank
completely with cold tap water (diag. 3) Close the water
tank, tightening the stopper, and replace it into its housing,
ensuring that it is correctly inserted into position.
N.B. IMPORTANT: never leave water in the tank for more
than two days to prevent the formation of unpleasant odours
and/or mould.
d. Remove the top rack (b1) and the central separator (b2),
place the disassembled Step Up feeding bottles on the bot-
tom rack (b3) with their neck facing downwards. It is recom-
mended to use the central separator to sterilise Well-Being
feeding bottles. The accessories can be placed on the top
rack (b1) (diag. 4). Replace the top rack. Check that the ac-
cessories on the top rack (b1) do not prevent the lid from
closing properly (Diag.5).
WARNING! Always clean and rinse the feeding bottles and
accessories thoroughly before placing them in the steriliser.
e. Insert the power cable plug into the socket located at the
rear of the steriliser (diag. 6), ensuring it is inserted as far as
possible.
f. Connect the power cable plug to the mains socket: the dig-
ital display will light up and emit an acoustic signal (beep),
indicating that the steriliser is connected to the mains (diag.
g)
g. Press the ON button (l) (d1) on the front of the steriliser: the
appliance will emit an acoustic signal (beep) and the display
will show the symbol indicating that the equipment is heat-
ing the water; at the same time, the display will show the
time needed, expressed in minutes, to complete the cycle
(diag. 8).
NOTE: the disinfection cycle (heating of water + disinfection)
lasts 12 minutes (approximately 7 minutes for heating the
water + 5 minutes disinfection).
WARNING!
Never remove the lid of the appliance during the disinfection
cycle.
NOTE: If it is necessary to switch off the appliance during
use, press the OFF button 0 (d2) and disconnect the power
cable plug from the mains socket.
During the disinfection cycle, the hot steam coming out from
the hole located on the transparent lid could cause serious
burns. Always use the appliance with the utmost care and
attention.
When the appliance is hot, always remove the lid slowly,
with the maximum care and attention.
A) IF YOU WISH TO CARRY OUT ONE DISINFECTION CYCLE
ONLY:
At the end of the disinfection cycle, the appliance will emit an
acoustic signal (5 beeps). At the same time, the symbol will
flash (diag. 9), and the display will show 00 until the acoustic
signal stops beeping.
Switch the appliance off, by pressing the 0 button (d2) (the
display switches off); then carry out the operations indicated
below in points h) - i) j) k).
B) IF YOU WISH TO CARRY OUT EXTENDED AUTOMATIC
DISINFECTION MAINTENANCE CYCLES EVERY 5 HOURS.
At the end of each disinfection cycle, the appliance will emit
an acoustic signal (5 beeps). At the same time, the symbol will
flash, and the display will show 00. When the acoustic signal
stops, if the appliance is not switched off by pressing the 0 but-
ton (d2), the display will indicate the residual time, expressed
in hours, before the appliance automatically carries out a new
heating/disinfection cycle. (diag. 10)
NOTE:
The appliance will repeat the cycle every 5 hours, until the
water contained in the tank has run out.
It is possible to stop the automatic maintenance cycles and
switch off the appliance at any time, pressing the 0 button
(d2); then disconnect the power cable plug from the mains
socket.
Warning!
If the lid is removed, the disinfection maintenance cycle is
interrupted.
Warning! If, for any reason, the electricity supply is inter
rupted even for a few seconds whilst the appliance is in use,
the steriliser stops both the disinfection cycle underway and
the automatic preset disinfection maintenance cycles. In this
case, the display will show 00, and the disinfection of the
products inserted in the appliance should be considered in
complete and, therefore, insufficient.
h. At the end of the disinfection cycle, or whenever the appli-
ance is not in use, disconnect the power cable plug from the
mains socket.
i. Remove the lid. (diag. 11)
N.B. IMPORTANT: Wait a few minutes before removing the
lid at the end of the disinfecting cycle, as hot steam could
come out from the appliance.
j. Use the appropriate hygienic tongs supplied to remove the
feeding bottles and accessories from the steriliser. (diag. 12)
Warning: Always clean your hands thoroughly before touch
ing the sterilised objects.
k. When the appliance is completely cold, remove any water
residues as shown in diagram 13. Dry the tank, heating plate,
lid and rack with a soft cloth.
WARNING
Always pour out the water as shown in diag. 13 to avoid any
infiltration in the appliance.
