NOTE: disinfected items will remain sterile inside the steri
liser with the lid on for about 5 hours.
NOTE: during the first disinfecting cycles, the appliance
could release a slight odour. This is not a sign of malfunction
or damage and should be considered absolutely normal.
Warning! If the water has run out or the disinfection cycle is
incomplete, the display will show the symbol
ance will emit an acoustic signal (beep) for 10 seconds and
the display will show 00.
III. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
NOTE: these operations must always be carried out only
when the appliance has cooled down completely and is dis
connected from the mains socket.
a) Cleaning the Appliance before the First Use.
Before the first use, it is recommended to carry out a disinfec-
tion cycle, without placing any feeding bottles into the appli-
ances, as described below:
1. Repeat the operations indicated in points a), b), c), e), f) and
g).
2. Repeat the operations indicated for the single disinfection
cycle (A).
NOTE: If it is necessary to switch off the appliance during
use, press the 0 button (d2) and disconnect the power cable
plug from the mains socket.
3. Repeat the operations indicated in points h), i), k).
WARNING!
During the disinfection cycle, the hot steam coming out from
the small opening located on the transparent lid could cause
serious burns. Always use the appliance with the utmost care
and attention.
b) How to Clean the Appliance.
1. Allow the steriliser to cool down completely. Always discon-
nect the plug from the mains before moving the appliance, or
carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operations.
2. Disconnect the power cable from the steriliser, removing the
connector from the socket located at the back.
3. Remove any residual water from the steriliser (diag. 13) and
tank.
4. Dry the steriliser with a soft, clean cloth.
5. Do not use abrasive or chemical products.
6. After cleaning, store the steriliser in a clean, dry place.
Note: To avoid the formation of unpleasant odours, it is rec
ommended not to replace the stopper (e1) onto the water
tank (e).
c) How to Clean the Tank:
Clean at least once a week, pouring a (100 ml) water solution
prepared with 50% white vinegar into the tank. Tighten the
stopper fully, shake the tank for about 1 minute, unscrew the
stopper and pour out all the water. Rinse the water tank and
stopper thoroughly with cold drinking water. Let dry without
stopper. Warning! Do not clean the water tank with detergents
or in a dishwasher.
Should the stopper have scale residues, it is necessary to carry
out a descaling cycle as follows: fill half a glass with a solution
made of equal parts of water and white vinegar. Immerse the
stopper in the solution and leave overnight. At the end of the
descaling cycle, rinse thoroughly with cold drinking water.
WARNING! Descale the plate as soon as any scale becomes
noticeable to ensure the appliance continues to work properly.
Never use abrasive or sharp mechanical equipment or tools
(abrasive pads, knives etc) to clean the appliance).
IV. DESCALING
Normal use of the steriliser can cause the formation of scale
residues on the heating plate. Excessive scale residues on the
heating plate may cause incorrect operation and prevent the
disinfection of the objects inserted in the appliance, apart from
; the appli
causing permanent damage to the appliance. Therefore, to en-
sure that the steriliser continues to work properly, do not al-
low scale to build up on the heating plate; descale it (when it is
cold), pouring 100 ml of white vinegar and 100 ml of flat min-
eral water into the tank (at least once a week or whenever there
are scale residues), and leave to soak for at least one night. Then
empty the tank, as indicated in diag. Remove the scale residues
with a soft cloth and rinse several times, pouring 300 ml of tap
water into the tank. Pour out the water as indicated in diag. 13
and dry thoroughly before use.
Warning: never place the appliance under running water.
Due to the different types of water (hardness) in the differ
ent geographical areas, the formation of scale deposits may
be more abundant and accumulate in quite a short period of
time. To ensure the correct operation of the appliance, it is
recommended to carry out descaling cycles more frequently.
The presence of scale residues on the heating plate may
cause a slight noise during use.
