Please read all the information listed in this manual
carefully. This provides important information for instal-
lation and maintenance of the water softening cartridge.
1 Characteristics
The water softening cartridge, Part No. 301363, is used
for treatment of the filling and topping-up water for the
entire heating system. The fill water is passed through
the cartridge. It is filled with a granulate which reduces
the hardness of the filling water.
The volume of water which has flowed through is deter-
mined by the water meter supplied. From the sticker on
the cartridge or Fig. 4.2 you can tell how much of the
granulate has been used up after this amount and how
its effectiveness has diminished.
The granulate is not poisonous and can be disposed of
in the normal household waste.

whenever the heating system is filled or topped
up!

The water softening cartridge must be mounted
vertically.
Use the brackets supplied for installation.
The dimensions of the water softening cartridge are
shown in Fig. 3.1.
