3. Installation and usage
3.1 Product installation
1) Shut down active equipment, such as your computer, and pull out the power cable from the main power
socket.
2) Install the UPS in a suitable position.
3) The power cables for important devices should be connected to the output connector of the UPS. Other
cables should be connected to the common main power sockets.
Note: The load capacity and the power supply time of the UPS' battery are limited. Therefore, do not
connect equipment that will not need the UPS, such as printers.
4) Connect the UPS' input socket to the main power socket.
3.2 Start/Shut-down:
1) On main power: turn on the main switch on the back panel of the UPS. The UPS will start a self-test and
provide power through the bypass function. The UPS will work under normal conditions in 20 seconds.
The output indicator and working indicator (green) of the UPS will be on and the bypass indicator will be
off. The PC and other devices can now be switched on.
2) On battery power (not main power): turn on the main switch on the back panel of the UPS. Press the start
button on the front of the panel. The UPS will provide power normally in 20 seconds.
3) Press the start button to activate the UPS. The UPS will start working in 20 seconds.
4) Press the shut-down button on the front panel to shut down the UPS. The UPS will shut down, but there
will still be power input through the bypass of the UPS.
Cautions:
1) To start up: please start up the UPS first and then the computer and its equipment. To shut down: please
shut down the computer and its equipment first and then the UPS.
2) You do not need to turn off the UPS, because it needs to charge the batteries.
3) When the main power is off and the UPS is providing power, please store your files or other useful
documents quickly.
3.3 Keep the UPS in good working condition:
1. If the UPS is not used for 7 days, please press the shut-down button on the front panel and turn off the
switch on the back panel.
2. If the UPS has not been used for 2 weeks, we recommend letting it run for more than 24 hours, as with
the initial start-up procedure. This way, the battery will continue to work on full power condition and the
battery's life will be prolonged.
