The boiler fails to start
No ignition sparks

- Check the power supply and that the orange indicator light is lit.
- Check that the thermostat and controls are on demand.
- Check that the control thermostat is not jammed.
- Check that the control box is powered from the mains. Replace it if faulty.
- Press the reset button, re-start the boiler and carry out the complementary
checks below :
• Check the chimney pull against the recommendations (>0.8 mm w.g.)
• Check the burner setting pressure.
If either of these parameters is not right, rectify it before re-starting
the system.
- The ignition transformer is not being fed at 230V.
- Faulty connection between the transformer and the ignition electrode.
- The ignition transformer is out of order.
- Check that the gas supply cock is open.
- Check the gas pressure at the valve circuit test point.
- Check that the pilot burner gas tube has been vented.
- Check the pilot burner injector.
- Check the position of the ignition electrode in relation to the ignition burner head.
- To restart the boiler, press the reset button.
- Check polarity. Wire the live lead to the L terminal and the neutral to N.
- Check the ionization current; the rated value in natural gas ranges between 3
and 4 µA.
- Check the position of the flame rod.
- Vent the gas tube.
- To restart, press the reset button.
- Check the electric wiring on the valve.
- Check polarity.
- Check operation of the gas valve; replace it if necessary.
- Check the control box; replace it if necessary.
