- INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE -
A new generation of hand tile cutting machines specialized for faience, sand-stone drawnsandstone, monocottura, mosaic
sticked on paper or net.
EN
CHARACTERISTICS
•Cutting length and capacity adapted to the new materials. (These machines can score tiles upto 20 mm thickness).
•Geared-down breaking system. For diagonal cuttings, and large size or particularly hard tiles, advantageously use the wide
separator (Fig. 6). For narrow cuts, use the small separator.
•New wheel-holder carriage of very strong conception, considering the new more and more re-sistant floor tiles (Fig. 7).
USE
•Tile cuttings (Fig. 8 and 9)
- Place the tile on the base. Score 1 time by pushing the carriage forward while pressing orthe handle, smoothly for faience,
strongly for hard tiles.
- Place the wide or the small separator on the tile, so that the wheel does not touch the square, nor the graduated scale.
- Press the handle down to break the tile. For hard tiles, give a straight knock on the handle with your hand palm so as to
ease the tile separation. Knock again if necessary.
•Mosaic cuttings (Fig. 10)
The cut is carried out piece after piece with 2 scorings :
- 1 time to score.
- 1 time to break by pressing harder.
Spare wheel supplied with axle ref. T 326 009 0 (Fig. 11).
USE OF THE SQUARE GRADUATION for 45° cuts only.
AJUSTMENT OF THE RULE AND SQUARE.
Integral diagonal cutting
•Fix the square at 45° and block it with the clamping handle a (Fig. 1).
•Slide the square so t hat the tile is both along it and wedged in the scale notch. Then block thesquare with the 2 clamping
handles b (Fig. 2).
•To know the dimension C, read the figure indicated on the square rule (Fig. 3) indicated by the angle of the tile. (In this
position, the indicated dimension C corresponds to a half diagonal).
To cut longer than the half-diagonal.
•To obtain a dimension Clonger than the half-diagonal, do not move the square, but slide the tile along it till you obtain the
wished dimension C indicated on the square rule (Fig. 4) by the angle of the tile.
To cut shorter than the half-diagonal.
•To obtain a dimension Eshorter than the half-diagonal, read on board Fig. 5 the dimension ofthe diagonal D corresponding
to the concerned tile (B x B) and deduct from it the required dimension E. We obtain a dimension C (C = D - E).
•Slide the tile along the square and place the angle on the graduation corresponding to the dimension C.
