12V Cigarette Lighter Sockets
• Devices with 12V cables fitted with cigarette lighter type plugs can be
connected to the 12V Cigarette Lighter Sockets (7)
• Lift the rubber dust cover and push the plug of the device's cable into one of
the sockets
• Move the Power Switch (5) and 12V Power Switch (1) to the 'ON' position. The
sockets are now ready to be used
• Always return both switches to the 'OFF' position when you have finished using
the device
Air compressor
This jump starter is equipped with an on-board air compressor that is suitable for
inflating tyres and other items. Always refer to the manufacturers recommended
inflation pressures, and do not over-inflate.
1. To use the compressor, withdraw the Compressed Air Line (17) from the
compartment in the rear of the jump starter
2. Fit the valve connector of the compressed air line over the valve of the tyre
and move the lever of the valve connector to secure in position
3. Move the Power Switch (5) and Compressor Switch (2) to the 'ON' position.
The compressor will then start
4. Monitor the Air Pressure Gauge (11) as the tyre inflates. Control the
compressor as required using the compressor switch
5. Turn off the compressor switch and power switch after use
6. Return the compressed air line to the rear compartment of the jump starter
to protect from damage
Notes:
• Do not allow the compressor to operate unattended
• Do not run the compressor continuously for more than 5 minutes at a time.
Allow 5 minutes' cooling time in between applications
• Two supplied adaptors are stored in the rear compartment. These allow inflation
of footballs, air beds and other items
• Use the Pressure Gauge (11) as an approximate guide to pressure level. If a
specific pressure level is required, use a calibrated pressure gauge
Work light
This jump starter is equipped with Work Lights (12) which are ideal for using in
combination with other features of this unit. During jump starting remember to
turn these off so the maximum current is available for assisting the vehicle's own
battery
• To operate the work lights, move the Power Switch (5) and Work Light Switch
(3), to the 'ON' position and reverse to switch 'OFF'
Inverter
This jump starter is equipped with a 230V AC 150W inverter. This allows low
wattage 230V devices to be powered by the jump starter.
• To use the inverter, move the Inverter Switch (13), to the 'ON' position. The 230V
Output Socket (15) will now be live
• Plug the mains-powered device into the output Socket and switch on
• Always return the inverter switch to the 'OFF' position after use
Notes:
• The Inverter Indicators (14) show the status of the Inverter when running. The
green LED marked 'AC Normal' means the inverter is working normally and the
red LED marked 'Protect' shows the inverter either cannot power the device
or there is a fault
• If the device you wish to use has a 12V cable suitable for a car cigarette socket,
it is recommended you use that cable instead with either of the 12V Cigarette
Lighter Sockets (7). This will make more efficient use of power and will run
for longer
• Some devices may have a peak consumption that exceeds 150W when initially
started, even if their overall power consumption is below 150W. These may not
work due to the initial peak consumption
Accessories
• A range of accessories, including battery chargers and heavy-duty jump leads is
available from your Silverline stockist

Maintenance
Cleaning
WARNING: ALWAYS wear protective equipment including eye protection and gloves
when cleaning this tool.
• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear
quickly, and shorten the device's service life
• Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth
• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts. If dry cleaning is not sufficient, a
mild detergent on a damp cloth is recommended
• Water must never come into contact with the tool
• Ensure the tool is thoroughly dry before using it
• If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes
(where applicable)
Note: Make sure that the positive and negative lead clamps are kept clean. Dirty
electrical contacts will severely impair the performance of this product.
Replacing fuses
• A 15A blade type fuse is fitted into the front and rear of the jump starter.
The front fuse protects the circuits that power the lights, 12V sockets and
compressor. The rear fuse protects the circuit that powers the inverter
• To replace either fuse, move all switches (1)+(2)+(3)+(5)+(13) to the 'OFF'
position, and remove the fuse. Replace with another 15A fuse of the same type
• Determine the source of the overload or short, and remove before switching
power back on. If the fuse keeps blowing it indicates a fault condition with
the unit
Storage
• The jump starter can be stored in the home or in a vehicle. It must always be
kept dry and away from metal surfaces that could short the two clamps
• When stored in a vehicle it must be secured, ideally in an upright position, so
it cannot move
Disposal
WARNING: This product incorporates a sealed VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid)
battery. Before disposal, remove the battery from the product and take to a facility
in your region that disposes of lead acid batteries. Do not dispose of the product
with the battery still fitted
To remove the battery for disposal or replacement, remove the clamps from their
stored positions and place them at the side of the jump starter. Remove the 8
recessed screws from the back panel and gently pull apart the front half and rear
half of the casing to gain access to the battery. Carefully remove the battery.
• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic
equipment, with household waste.
• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the proper way
to dispose of tools.
