Depending on the studio flash used, the speed ring and the softbox adap-
ter may become hot. Easily inflammable materials may set on fire if they
are mounted too closely together or incorrectly.
■ Make sure that inflammable materials do not come into contact with the
studio flash.

3. Unpacking and checking the device

1. Carefully unpack the scope of delivery.
2. Check whether the scope of delivery is complete:
• Softbox outer casing (softbox umbrella)
• Speed ring
• Rods, depending on structure, set of 4 or 8*
• Inner diffuser
• Front diffuser
• inner reflector umbrella (for octagonal models only)*
• various grid inserts (with the Plus series only)*
3. Check whether the scope of delivery is free of damage:
