4. If a cable management system has been installed on your trophon (see section B2.2), secure
the external portion of the cable and connector by:
Placing the connector carefully inside the tray.
Coiling the cable neatly and safely around the cable holder on the side of the tray assembly.
NOTE: Incorrect positioning of the probe may result in:
High-level disinfection will not be achieved during the trophon EPR disinfection cycle
Residual disinfectant remaining on the probe surface. This may lead to temporary bleaching
and/ or irritation of the skin if no gloves are worn.
Damage to the probe may occur if in contact with the chamber wall
NOTE: Curved probes must be correctly inserted in the trophon. See Figure 12. The curved probe
positioner (CPP) accessory is required to assist with this positioning for certain probes. Refer to the
trophon EPR Validated Probes List.
