Heating power. Eolo Star 23 kW boilers are fitted with electronic modula-
tion that adapts boiler power to actual home heating requirements. Therefore
ES
the boiler operates normally in a variable gas pressure range between the
minimum and maximum heating power according to the system heat
load.
PT
N.B.: The Eolo Star 23 kW boiler is produced and set to rated power in the
heating phase. However, it takes about 15 minutes to reach rated heating
power, modifiable by selecting the parameter (P6).
GR
N.B: Selection of the parameters "Min. heating power" and "Max. heating
power", in the presence of heating demand, enables boiler lighting and
feeding of the modulator with current equal to the respective set value.

vents too frequent burner lighting in the heating phase. The boiler comes

3.8
Automatic slow ignition function with timed ramp delivery.
In the lighting phase the electronic card carries out an increasing gas delivery
ramp (with pressure values that depend on the type of gas selected) of preset
duration. This avoids every boiler lighting phase calibration or preparation
operation in any conditions of use.
3.9
"Chimney-Sweep" function.
When activated, this function forces the boiler at max. output for 15
minutes.
In this mode all the adjustments are cut out and only the temperature
safety thermostat and the limit thermostat remain active. To activate the
"Chimney-Sweep" function, press the Reset key for at least 10 seconds with
the boiler on Stand-by; its activation is signalled by flashing of the symbols
(8 and 11 on page 275). This function allows the technician to check the
combustion parameters. After the checks deactivate the function, switching
the boiler off and then on again.
3.10 Heating timing.
Eolo Star boilers are fitted with an electronic timer that prevents too frequent
lighting of the burner in heating phase. The boiler comes standard with the
timer adjusted to 3 minutes. To adjust timing to other values, follow the
instructions for parameter setting, selecting parameter (P7) and setting it
280
to one of the values given in the relative table.

3.11 Pump antiblocking function.
In summer mode (
pump at least once every 24 hours for the duration of 30 seconds in order
to reduce the risk of pump blocking due to prolonged inactivity.
In winter mode (
pump at least once every 3 hours for the duration of 30 seconds.
3.12 Domestic circuit antileak function.
When activated, this function reduces the heating temperature to 57°C if
domestic circulation in heating mode is detected. The function can be cut
out by selecting the parameter (P3).
3.13 Radiator antifreeze function.
If the system return water is below 4°C, the boiler starts up until reaching
42°C.
3.14 Electronic board periodical self-check.
During operation in heating mode or with boiler in standby, the function
P5
activates every 18 hours after the last boiler check/feed. In case of operation
in domestic circuit mode the self-check starts within 10 minutes after the
end of the drawing in progress, for a length of approx. 10 seconds.
NB: During self-check, the boiler remains off, including signalling.
