Charge State
The built-in rechargeable battery pack is equipped
with an electronic monitor circuit that detects deep
discharge when usage of battery power causes the
voltage to drop below a defined level. When this
point is reached, plug in the power cord to recharge
the battery. Be sure to allow sufficient time for the
battery to recharge completely before unplugging
50%
the cord.

If the equipment is unsupervised and no operator
takes steps to initiate recharging, the battery will
continue to discharge until the electronics detect
a second threshold, at which point the equipment
is automatically disconnected from the battery.
This prevents the battery from reaching a discharge
level so low that it cannot be recharged again (deep
discharge threshold).
§ The battery should be recharged any time it has
been discharged, including after partial discharge
(e.g., 50% discharge as indicated in the illustration).
