Cassette player
! A loose or warped label on a cassette tape
may interfere with the eject mechanism of
the unit or cause the cassette to become
jammed in the unit. Avoid using such
tapes or remove such labels from the cas
sette before attempting use.
! Be sure to eject tape when the vehicles
ignition is turned off. Leaving the tape in
the unit can deform the pinch roller caus
ing wow and flutter during tape
playback.
Cassette tapes
! Loose tapes should be rewound with the
aid of a pencil and unevenly wound tapes
rewound with the use of the fast forward
function.
! A loose, torn or warped label on a cassette
tape can jam the cassette player. Do not
use cassette tapes with loose, torn or
warped labels.
! Cassette tapes longer than C 90 (90 minute
tapes) can cause the tape to jam in the cas
sette player. Do not use tapes longer than
C 90.
! Cassette tapes exposed to high tempera
tures may warp and jam the cassette
player. Keep cassettes out of direct sunlight
or places where there are high tempera
tures.

! Store unused tapes in a tape case where
there is no danger of them becoming
loose, dirty or dusty.
Cleaning the playback head
If the head becomes dirty, the sound quality
will get bad and there will be sound dropouts
and other problems. If you have any of these
problems the head may need cleaning.
