5) Troubleshooting check list:

In case no signal is available, please check you have followed the procedure described in
the user's manual and check the following points:
Make sure there are no obstructions (trees, buildings, windows, corner or overhang of your
roof, your body or hands) – the signal does not pass leaves, branches, glass, etc.
Make sure all cable connections are correct and each connection is seated / tightened
properly
Check the signal quality at the receiver outlet thanks to the Field strength meter. Vérifier que
les signaux correspondent au satellite souhaité (identification NIT du satellite).
Check in the receiver menu that LNB power is on.
Check in receiver menu that LNB settings are correct ( Universal LNB, 9750 MHz LO low
band; 10600MHz LO High band)
A coaxial cable type 17VATC or 17PATC with solid copper inside conductor is recommended
because it has much lower DC voltage drop compared to 17VATCA or 17PATCA cable with a
copper-coated, steel center conductor.
Check the satellite coaxial cable is connected to the input of the receiver, not to the loop
through output.
Check the satellite receiver is correctly linked to the TV set, and that the satellite receiver
menu appears on the TV set.
Check that the Incliation angle is not strongly different from the one corresponding to your
location in the table.
Make sure the Access Card from your receiver is fully inserted into the Access Card slot and
oriented correctly.
If everything seems OK and no signal is found, change slightly the antennas elevation settings
by +/- 2° and try again.

6) Loss of Signal / Rain Fade

The satellite signal may be lost temporarily due to unusually heavy rainfall. An optimal aligned
antenna, along with the shortest possible cable run, minimizes the chances of "rain fade."
Make sure the antenna is mounted securely to prevent it from being blown out of alignment in
a heavy wind.
Heavy snow accumulation on the antenna may reduce the satellite signal strength, snow
should be swept away as soon as possible.
Tree foliage growth into antenna's line-of-sight to the satellite may result in gradual loss of
picture.
