7. FAILURES AND REMEDIES

Before carrying out any maintenance or adjustment operation, switch off the machine
and extract the socket from the tap set for the purpose (if any). Wait a few minutes for
cooling.
FAILURES
The pump
works, but no
water gets into
the boiler.
The pump does
not work.
The boiler does
not go under
pressure.
The iron does
not become hot
The iron is hot
but no steam
comes out.
Steam comes
out of safety
valve.

CAUSES:
1) Union is obstructed.
2) The feeding valve is defective.
3) The water inlet filter is obstructed.
4) Pressure over 6 bar
1) The level gearhouse is damaged.
2) The pump motor is burned.
3) The starting condenser is burned.
4) The pump is locked.
5) Fuse burnt out.
1) Resistances are burned.
2) The pressure switch is damaged.
3) The connecting pipe of the
pressure switch is obstructed.
4) Safety thermostat tripped.
1) The switch is open.
2) The fuse is burned.
1) The microswitch is broken.
2) The solenoid of the valve is
burned.
3) The solenoid valve is obstructed.
1) The pressure gauge indicates a
correct pressure and the valve leaks.
2) The pressure gauge indicates a
high pressure.
REMEDIES:
1) Loosen the union and remove
incrustations in the boiler by using a
pointed object.
2) Clean valve or replace it.
3) Disassemble rubber and clean filter
accurately.
4) Setting pressure switch on 4,8bar
1) Replace gearhouse.
2) Replace motor.
3) Replace condenser.
4) Beat pump softly in order to
unlock .
5) Change the fuse.
1) Replace the group of resistances
with a gasket.
2) Replace pressure switch.
3) Disassemble connecting union and
clean it from incrustations.
4) Reset by hand (fig. 7).
1) Close the green light switch.
2) Remove rear panel and replace
fuse in the electric system.
1) Replace microswitch.
2) Replace solenoid.
3) Disassemble and clean solenoid
valve.
1) Clean valve or replace it.
2) Check pressure gauge and relevant
connecting pipe.
