CLEANING
After each use, clean debris from the chain and guide bar with a soft brush. Wipe the chain saw surface with a clean
cloth moistened with a mild soap solution.
Remove the side cover, and then use a soft brush to remove debris from the guide bar, saw chain, sprocket and side
cover.
Always clean out wood chips, saw dust, and dirt from the guide bar groove when replacing the saw chain.
REPLACING THE BAR AND CHAIN
Warning:
are sharp and may contain burrs.

chain is very sharp; always wear protective gloves when performing maintenance to the
chain to avoid possible serious lacerations.
NOTE:
When replace the guide bar and chain, always use the specified bar and chain listed in the BAR and Chain
Combinations section later in this manual.
Disassembling the Worn Bar and Chain
Remove the battery, allow the saw to cool and tighten
the oil tank cap.
Position the chain saw on its side on a firm,flat surface,
so that the chain cover is facing upward.
Slide the chain cover locking knob lever out, turn it
counterclockwise and remove the chain cover. See fig 7.
Wear gloves, remove the bar and chain from the
mounting surface.
NOTE:
This is a good time to inspect the drive sprocket
for excessive wear or damage.
Installing the New Bar and Chain
Lay out the new saw chain in a loop and straighten any
kinks. The cutters should face in the direction of chain
rotation. If they face backwards, turn the loop over.
Place the chain drive links into the guide bar groove.
Position the chain so there is a loop at the back of the
guide bar. See fig 29 & 30.

When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other
