( Bio80 only):
Push the end of the CO
JBL ProFlora Taifun P (6) and fix it with the clip suction pad (6a) in a
position with a gentle water current near to the floor of the aquarium.
( Bio160 only):
Place the JBL ProFlora Taifun S diffuser in a position with a gentle water
current near to the floor of the aquarium. More details on the special
features of the JBL ProFlora Taifun S can be found in the separate
description enclosed.
10. Feed the CO
above the surface of the water (approx. 10 – 20 cm). Fit the non-return
valve (5) onto the hose, paying attention to the direction of flow. The arrow
should point to the aquarium.
11. Using the remaining piece of hose, connect the free end of the non-return
valve to the hose connection on the reaction canister.
CO
production will start within 24 – 48 hours and will supply your aquarium with

Handling the hose screw connection on the non-return valve and reaction canister:
Unscrew the union nut completely and place it on the free hose end. Push the hose
end onto the connecting piece and screw up the union nut again.
Refill:
If no more bubbles are emitting from the JBL ProFlora Taifun P diffuser or no more
bubbles are passing through the JBL ProFlora Taifun S diffuser, the substrate in the
reaction canister has been used up. Proceed as follows:
Pull the hose off the lid of the reaction canister and dispose of the contents as
household waste. Rinse the reaction canister in lukewarm tap water. Refill the
reaction canister again, as described above, using a new JBL ProFlora BioRefill,
available from specialist pet shops. The JBL ProFlora Bio160 Set contains a spare JBL
ProFlora BioRefill.
Important note:
The system is designed for an ambient room temperature of 21 – 23 °C. In cooler
rooms the production of CO
temperature should ideally be increased.
The JBL ProFlora Bio160 set operates largely independently of the room
temperature, thanks to the thermal casing which transmits the aquarium
temperature to the reaction canister.
