Now, you can start the brewing process.
The brewing process for a full cup lasts for four to fi ve minutes. Then remove the
thermal cup and put the lid on the cup again. Close the slide on the lid so that the
heat is retained for a longer period of ti me.
Switch off the coff ee machine. Allow the device to cool down for a while and then
remove the contents of the permanent fi lter.

Please note that the seal on the thermal cup is not drip-proof!
6 Decalcifying and cleaning
Decalcify the coff ee machine at regular intervals depending upon the intensity of
use. Even if the preparati on ti me increases considerably, decalcifi cati on is essen-
ti al.
For this purpose, please use standard decalcifying agents based on citric acid only.
For the appropriate dosage, please refer to the specifi cati ons on the package or
insert of the decalcifying agent. Please note that the maximum water quanti ty is
300ml. Fill the decalcifying agent in the machine and place the thermal cup with-
out the lid on the depositi ng space. Aft er decalcifi cati on, complete three to four
rounds of brewing without coff ee powder, so that residues can be rinsed out. This
water is no longer fi t for consumpti on!
For cleaning the coff ee machine externally, use a damp piece of cloth only.
Before cleaning, pull out the power plug and wait unti l the device cools down com-
pletely. Clean the thermal cup, cup lid, permanent fi lter and fi lter holder manually
in a rinsing bath. Do not use any abrasive items such as wire brush or steel sponge
for cleaning. Never use cleaning agents which may corrode the surface or present
a health risk if consumed!
Note:
The thermal cup with its lid is not suitable for cleaning in the dishwasher!
