1. Lower exhaust and remove existing fasteners – Lower the exhaust by removing (2) bolts from each rear exhaust hanger bracket (1
per side) with a 13mm socket. Remove (4) M10x1.5x40mm bolts from the outside of the frame rails (2 per side) with a 16mm socket.
2. Install hitch – Raise the hitch into position over the exhaust. Align the holes in the hitch with the vehicle existing weldnuts and install the
bolts removed earlier.
3. Torque fasteners - Tighten the M10 fasteners with torque wrench to 53Lb.-Ft. (72 N*M)
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
4. Re-install exhaust - Raise exhaust into position, install the bolts removed from the hangers earlier.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch
or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
