Tool description - Operation
Please note: The distance from the object
you are working on depends on material and
intended method of working. Always try out
the airflow and temperature on a test piece
first. Using the attachable accessory nozzles
(see accessories page on the cover) the flow
of hot air can be controlled with maximum
precision.
Take care when changing hot nozzles!
When using the hot air tool in the self-resting
position, make sure it is standing on a stable,
non-slip and clean surface.
Connect the mains plug to a normal 230 V
earthed power socket and turn the tool on at
the regulating switch.
Applications
Shaping
Shaping PVC and polystyrene items at

approx. 300°C.
Shaping acrylic glass and Perspex at
W
approx. 500°C.
Shaping HT tubes, PU tubes, rods.
W
Shaping timbers, i.e. soaking, shaping and
W
then drying with hot air.
Paint-stripping
Removing old, as well as thick coats of
W
oil and varnishes from furniture, panelling,
half-timber framing, guttering, banisters
and windows.
Removing synthetic renders with hot air
W
and stripping knife.
Drying
Quickly and thoroughly drying fillers and
W
adhesives.
Drying colour shade samples.

Drying construction joints before injecting
W
insulating and sealing materials.
Drying grouted tiles.

The tool is switched on and off at the regulat-
ing switch

on the back of the grip handle.
Airflow and temperature can be adjusted to
2 settings. Setting 1 reaches 300°C at an air-
flow of 240 L/min, setting 2 reaches 500°C at
450 L/min. This tool is intended for domestic
use only.
Attachable nozzles allow you to control the
flow of hot air with pinpoint accuracy or over
precisely defined surfaces; the attachable
nozzles simply push onto the outlet nozzle.
Heat-shrinking
Fitting heat-shrinkable tubes onto cabling.
