Parental (V-chip) enables parents to prevent their children from watching inappropriate material on TV. Parental reads the
ratings for programming (except for news, sports, unedited movies on premium cable and Emergency System signals), then
denies access to programming if the program's rating meets the limitations you select. In this case, the program will be
blocked.

While in the TV (NTSC) or ATSC mode, press the MENU
button 1; the Main Menu screen will appear. Select
Parental using the CHANNEL/Navigation UP 2 or DOWN
3 button, then press the VOLUME UP/Navigation Right
button 4 once to select it and again to select Parental
Controls; the Enter Pin dialog will appear.

Once in the PARENTAL MENU, press the CHANNEL/
Navigation UP 1 or DOWN 2 button until PARENTAL
LOCK is selected, then press the VOLUME UP/Navigation
Right button 3 once to select it .Select ON to activate or
OFF to deactivate using the CHANNEL/Navigation UP 1 or
DOWN 2 button, then press the VOLUME UP/Navigation
Right button 3.
Then change the settings as per the next two pages.

Using the Direct Channel Selection buttons (0-9) 1, enter
the password ("1234" is the default password if you have
not changed it), then press the VOLUME UP/Navigation
Right button 2 once to select it and then once again to
Continue. This password can be changed to consist of
different numbers (i.e. 1467, 3732) after the original
password is entered. See page 33 to change
the password.
