INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS U-HANDLE COMBO KIT

INSTALLING U
Tools Required: 8mm x 10mm Open End Wrench, Slotted Screwdriver,
3mm and 4mm Hex Wrench, Scrench, Locking Tool, Pliers.
Install U-Handle
(All Models)
1.
Close choke and remove air filter and cover.
2.
Disconnect ignition stop leads (A) and (B).
3.
Loosen nut (C) and remove throttle linkage from carburetor
bracket.
4.
Remove inner throttle linkage from carburetor swivel (D).
(SRM-260/261 Series Only)
5A. Loosen bolt (E) and pull drive shaft assembly from clutch case.
(SRM-311/311S Only)
5B. Loosen the two (2) bolts (F) at engine drive shaft clamps, and
remove center drive shaft location bolt (G) and pull drive shaft
assembly from clutch case.
(All Models)
6.
Loosen two (2) rear handle screws (H) and pull rear handle from
the drive shaft assembly.
7.
Loosen four (4) screws (J) and remove front handle.
8.
Position lower U-Handle bracket (K) 483 mm (19 in.) from engine
end of drive shaft. Secure with three (3) 5mm x 30 mm bolts.
9.
Position harness clamp (L) 375 mm (14-3/4 in.) from engine end of
drive shaft assembly. DO NOT tighten at this time.
