MAINTENANCE

Keep the shed clean and dry at all times. It can be cleaned with just water, without detergent. Treat
all scratches that may have appeared during the assembly process with an appropriate product.
Avoid letting leaves and snow accumulate on the roof of the shed. Too much weight on the roof
could damage the shed and make using it dangerous. Clear it regularly using a long-handled broom
with soft bristles.
The runners for the doors must be kept clean in order to work properly. Lubricate the hinges with a
silicon lubricant. Always leave the doors closed and locked in order to avoid wind blowing through
the shed.
Check the fixings regularly to ensure that none of them have come loose. Tighten them if necessary.
In the event of missing or damaged components, contact the Alice's Garden After-Sales Service
directly via the form on: return.alicesgarden.co.uk/defective
Changes in temperature may cause a build-up of condensation inside the shed. Placing a plastic
film (vapour barrier) under the floor may reduce condensation.
Rusting is a natural oxidation process that occurs when raw metal is exposed to moisture. The
locations that are most susceptible to rust are screw holes, raw edges or scratches in the protec-
tive coating caused by the assembly process, handling or everyday use. If you identify the places
that are susceptible to rust and take some simple protective measures, you can prevent rust from
appearing or stop it.
1. Avoid scratching the protective coating, both inside and outside.
2. Use the washers provided.
3. Keep the roof, edge of the base and door track free of debris and leaves.
4.Touch up any scratches or any other sign of rust as quickly as possible.
If corrosion (rust) should appear, use a wire brush on your shed and re-paint it with an anti-rust
metal paint.
